Update regarding the status of NSRA International Postal Competitions 2020 as well as British & Scottish Long-Range Championships. As you can imagine Covid19 has meant that the status of various postal competitions as well as the Earl Roberts, Earl Haig and Pershing Trials are being reviewed on an ongoing basis the following is a summary of the position on 30 April 2020.

GB Dewar Trials & Match (Prone rifle 50m/100y)
June trials at Appleton cancelled. In discussion with NRA of America and other NGBs. May be held in 4th quarter 2020. Postal trial on hold. To be advised since NRA of America will not be fielding a team.
Wakefield Postal (Prone rifle 50m)
Team selected from top shooters in the first 5 rounds of the NSRA 50m league – dependent upon end of “lockdown” and Government guidelines. To be advised.
Mayleigh Postal (Pistol)
Cancelled. Options being considered.
Randle Postal (Ladies Prone Rifle 50yd/100yd NRA Targets)
NRA of America have cancelled the 2020 National Matches at Camp Atterbury and the NRA Rifle Committee have confirmed that the USA will not be able to shoot the Randle.
Drew Cup Postal (Prone rifle 50m – junior team)
Usually selected from competitors at the Junior International (cancelled). Options being considered.
Pershing Trials (Prone rifle 50m/100y NRA Targets shot in the USA)
Pershing Trials originally scheduled for September 2020 with match in USA 2021 – Match rescheduled for 2022. Trials dependent upon end of “lockdown” in UK. NRA of America have cancelled the 2020 National Matches at Camp Atterbury and the NAR Rifle Committee have decided to postpone the Pershing Match until 2022. Selection criteria for the GB Team will be revised by the NSRA Rifle Committee.
Earl Roberts British Prone Championship (Prone rifle 50m/100yd)
Usually shot during Bisley Rifle Meeting. Alternatives being discussed dependent upon end of “lockdown” and Government guidelines.
Earl Haig Scottish Long- Range Championship (Prone rifle 100y)
Usually shot during Scottish Rifle Meeting. Alternatives being discussed dependent upon end of “lockdown” and Government guidelines.
