As everyone is aware we are in an unprecedented situation with regard to Coronavirus. We have looked at the most effective way to manage our postal competitions whilst following the advice of the Government and agencies such as the World Health Organisation. Taking their advice into consideration and appraising the present situation we have decided the following:

  • Extend the end shoot by date for all remaining Winter Postal Competitions to 29 June 2020
  • Extend the shoot by dates for Stage 3 of the Queen Alex Competition and Stage 2 of the Eley Competition to 29 June 2020
  • Run the 2020 Summer Postal Competition as usual but from 6 July 2020 through to October 5 2020. Entries will be reopened with a closing date of 31 May 2020 allowing shooters who did not enter originally the opportunity to enter
  • Run the 2020/21 Winter Postal Competition from October of this year until the end of April 2021. Entries for this competition will close on 7 September 2020.

These decisions reflect the present situation and the fact that many clubs are closed to their members following Government advice and are responding to the need for social distancing. Things are changing on a daily basis so we will monitor the situation with regard to Covid-19 very closely. We will review the plans we have put in place to ensure we are following Government directives and responding as is required to ensure we act in both the public interest and the interest of our shooters.

As announced earlier this week the Lord Roberts Centre, Aldersley and NSRA Offices are now closed with staff unavailable to directly respond to enquiries either by email or telephone.
