NSRA, Lord Roberts' Centre and Bisley Sports Wholesale Ltd. will not be contactable by phone until around 9:00am on Monday 19th February due to a major upgrade of the telephone system. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We have been forwarded a petition by British Shooting Sports Council, with a recommendation that this should be put to our members in order to bolster the case against this proposed legislation.
The petition can be accessed at: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/211656
The British Open Airgun (BOAG) Championships are being held from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th April 2018. The Pistol Airgun & Crossbow Committee (PACC) have agreed that there will not be a separate Pistol meeting in 2018, while they undergo a review of all the events which have previously been offered at the Pistol Championships. Therefore BOAG has been moved from the traditional month of February, to take advantage of the warmer weather and increased daylight in April, to additionally hold four air pistol Championship events on the outdoor 25 metre range.
We are aware of rumours that BOAG may be cancelled at short notice, and both PACC and the NSRA would like to reassure both entrants and potential entrants that this is not the case. Entry forms have been available to download from the “Competitions - Entry Form” section of our website for the past two week, and now the programme has been completed and is also available. We are grateful to all of you who have shown support for this event by entering early, and look forward to further entries over the coming weeks. The closing date for entries to this event is Wednesday 15th March.
A major upgrade of the NSRA/Ltd/BSW computer and telephony system means that the NSRA telephone system will be unavailable, for incoming or outgoing calls, from 2pm on Friday 16th February. The service will be restored from 9am on Monday 19th February.
We apologise for this inconvenience.
The NSRA Shop and The Lord Roberts Centre will be open as usual during that weekend but without, of course, any telephone or email access.

The Home Office has opened a public consultation on what they consider to be "Offensive and Dangerous Weapons". This includes plans to apply further restrictions on .50 calibre and MARS (Manually Activated Release System) rifles which are currently for target shooting.
The policy intends to remove the availability of these Firearms for civilian use suggesting they may be used for terrorism. The proposed changes will raise them from Section 1 of the Firearms Act where they can be held on a normal Firearms Certificate to Section 5 and so effectively banned.
We are understandably beginning to receive enquiries from NSRA Affiliated Clubs regarding the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which comes into force on the 28th May 2018.
The detail of the regulation is currently being considered by the NSRA, so that the best advice can be communicated to all members as to the implications and recommended actions required.
Should any member wish to access further information at this stage we recommend the following link:
