The Association has two levels of Individual Membership available - Annual and Associate

For 2019 the basic subscription rates are:

Full Annual   £85.00
Junior Annual
(under 18 or in full-time education
at the date of payment) 
 £40.00
Associate   £76.00

Discounts are available for certain payment arrangements – please see below.

Individual members enjoy a range of benefits, including insurance, eligibility to take part in NSRA competitions and courses, use of the Lord Roberts Centre facilities at preferential rates, free subscription to On Target magazine and NSRA News, and voting rights. A more detailed listing can be downloaded below. Bluefin Sport have developed a mini-site dedicated to the insurance they provide for NSRA members. Methods of payment

Subscriptions can be paid in a number of ways:

  • For annual payments made by cheque, credit or debit card, cash or NSRA vouchers, the rates shown above apply.

  • For payments by Direct Debit, a discount of £3 is given, making the 2019 rates £82 for Full Annual, £37 for Junior Annual and £73 for Associate Membership. 

To join by either of these methods, use the Standard Application Form (below). The form incorporates details to enable the Association to recover tax on subscriptions under the Gift Aid scheme. If you would like to pay by Direct Debit you must download and complete the Direct Debit form. Please ensure we are sent the original form as some banks will not accept scanned copies.



Welcome Scheme (first launched November 2008)

To qualify the applicant must not have been a Member of the NSRA before and must pay by credit/debit card or by cheque. Completed forms payable by card or cheque must be sent to the National Small-bore Rifle Association, Lord Roberts Centre, Bisley Camp, Brookwood, Woking, Surrey GU24 0NP.

You can also email the form and request a phone call for payment by credit or debit card.

In addition to the discount, the NSRA will pay a bounty of £10 per Full Member and £5 per Junior Member to the member's club (which must itself be NSRA affiliated).

There are two New Members Welcome Deals available:

The Welcome Deal PLUS - Intended for First Time NEW members

  • This deal provides a reduced rate for the first year coupled with an extended term for those joining in the latter part of the year.
  • Can ONLY be purchased in cash, it cannot be paid by Direct Debit.
  • Fees are weighted depending on month of joining

As detailed in the chart below:

New Members Deal 1

For those joining the NSRA for the first time as a Full Annual or Junior Annual Member, there is a special Welcome discount rate. The rates for April, May and June are £45 for a Full Member and £27 for a Junior Member (includes someone in full-time education).

The Combined Welcome and 3 Year Deal

  • Intended for NEW members, this deal provides a reduced rate for the first year coupled with a discount for the remaining 2 years.
  • Can ONLY be purchased in cash as a lump sum, it cannot be paid by Direct Debit on an annual basis.
  • Fees are weighted depending on month of joining.

Three Year Membership Scheme (first launched in 2007)

One payment option is available for those who commit to membership for three years:

  • For those who wish to pay for three years as a single lump sum, a further discount of £10 for Full Annual or Associate membership and £20 for Junior is given, making payment for the three years as follows:

    Full Annual   £245.00
    Junior Annual  £100.00
    Associate   £218.00

Gift Aid 

As a registered charity, the NSRA can claim Gift Aid on individual members’ subscriptions from HM Revenue and Customs. This means that if you are a UK taxpayer, for each £1 of your subscription we can claim an additional 25 pence from HMRC. Further information about this can be seen in our Gift Aid Information sheet.
